Job Description

Job Summary The Transportation Driver is responsible for assuring dependable community-sponsored scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely, with Resident safety as the primary priority. Responsibilities Support the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. Confirm transportation schedule as designated b y the Life Engagement Director date, time, type, locations, and directions. Transport Residents to and from activities/errands in a safe, organized, and responsible fashion. Maintain good communication with Life Engagement staff regarding schedule, time off, Resident relations, and condition of vehicle. Communicate with Residents at least 24 hours prior to departure to clarify times and routes. Maintain company-owned vehicles to keep them i n safe, and efficient working order. Inform the Lifestyle Director of any maintenance issues concerning the vehicles. Maintain vehicle interior i n a clean orderly fashion during and following usage. Remain flexible for unscheduled emergency transportation. Fuel vehicles as needed and provide gas receipts t o the Life Engagement Director or appropriate Life Engagement staff for processing. Coordinate activities with other departments as needed. Assist with other Resident-related, clerical, and inventory duties within the scope of qualifications and training as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. Follow community policies and procedures to include emergency, fire, and disaster plans. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, bus driving or similar roles with a strong safety record Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary for wheelchair loading or unloading Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and problem-solving skills Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting techniques Join us as a Transportation Driver and be part of a dedicated team committed to resident satisfaction.
