" Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 From $180 a day - Part-time, Contract From $180 a day - Part-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Driver specializing in hauling asphalt to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial vehicles and heavy equipment to transport asphalt materials safely and efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, support paving operations, and contribute to the successful completion of large-scale infrastructure projects. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and other heavy equipment to haul asphalt to various job sites. Assist with paving operations by supporting concrete pouring, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping as needed. Manage loading and unloading of asphalt materials using loaders, excavators, or other machinery while adhering to safety protocols. Support construction site activities including rebar installation, concrete forming, and site preparation. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning. Coordinate with project managers and crew members to ensure timely delivery schedules are met. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and operational activities for compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, safety standards, and transportation regulations. Hands-on experience with concrete mixer trucks, paving machinery, concrete pumping systems, and finishing techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with construction site procedures including rebar installation, concrete forming, and site safety protocols. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and operating machinery for extended periods.
