About us CPC Carolina Distributing provides retail feed dealers with animal feeds along with multiple brands of dog foods and livestock supplements. Our Goldsboro, North Carolina facility is staffed by qualified Team Members dedicated to providing exceptional support and service.

Local Truck Driver Duties include:

Perform truck and trailer inspections before and after each trip to ensure good working order. Utilize appropriate channels to report deficiencies. Transport loads safely and in a timely manner, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Deliver freight in a timely and efficient manner. Follow crew signals to maneuver truck and trailer successfully into loading and unloading areas. Assist with loading and unloading of goods, using appropriate equipment including forklift and pallet jack. Maintain customer paperwork and return completed paperwork to appropriate staff when delivery is complete. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Facilitate routine service on trucks and report malfunctions to the Branch Manager. Maintain proper company image on highway and customer location (e.g., proper equipment maintenance and attire) Report any issues observed in dealing with customer deliveries or paperwork. Assist in warehouse, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL and successful driving record
• Ability to work long, irregular hours while remaining alert and focused
• Successful completion of DOT physical and drug screen
• Solid knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance
• Ability to handle "on the road" situations that develop
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to climb ladders
