Full Job Description PURPOSE:
The truck driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the receiving operations team which includes working in the warehouse. This job will primarily consist of local vehicle operations involving delivering and picking up goods at designated vendors in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Operate company-owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup to designated vendors as scheduled. Properly complete an inspection sheet. Able to properly and safely load, unload and secure goods for deliveries. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Operate all MHE (i.e. forklift, order-picker, pallet jack, pallets, storage equipment). Maintain all required certifications required by FMCSA (Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administrations) and OSHA and company safety programs. Unloading goods at Baker Road warehouse and stacking in proper place as not to take more space than necessary. Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition. Inspect each item for visible damage, refer to procedure form. Understanding that your job will change at regular intervals due to requirements needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Clean driving record with at least three years of driving experience Ability to drive a 35ft box truck with gate lift Able to lift at least 75lbs Knowledge of raw material to utilize pull sheets Ability to thrive in a team structured work environment Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work in self-disciplined environment Well organized with good time management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to function with a quick turnaround time
