Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A Dump Truck Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and other heavy-duty commercial vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other freight to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A licensed dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers for transporting freight across designated routes. Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure and balanced loads. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Assist with the operation of flatbed, tanker, or specialized trucks as required for specific freight types or project needs. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, load details, and delivery documentation. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or safety concerns to optimize operations. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven truck driving experience in freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload responsibilities. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Experience handling freight that requires special equipment such as forklifts or other loading tools. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation. Prior experience working with tractor-trailers or commercial trucks in construction or logistics environments is a plus. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
