Job Description

Example of Duties:
Under general supervision, operates a roll-off truck or front loader truck while servicing containers at solid waste collection sites throughout Robeson County are picked up as required and assigned. Work involves driving sanitation vehicles, maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, and performing minor routine service, reports needed repairs to mechanics. Employee drives to dump sites, schools, and various sites to pick up refuse/trash. Work also involves emptying containers at landfill and assisting other drivers on routes, and reporting violators. Reports to the Sanitation Truck Crew Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma. 2 years experience in truck operations or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required combination of skills, knowledge and abilities. Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B required upon hire and for duration of employment. Out of state driver's license will be accepted only if the individual is a permanent resident of that state. Must take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Records driver license check, as well as submit to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
