In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. Your expertise in truck driving, route planning, and load management will contribute to our commitment to excellent service and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for drivers who thrive on active driving, load handling, and maintaining high safety standards. Duties Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers with dry van trailers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight efficiently using proper techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and security Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules while managing time effectively Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in compliance with federal regulations Assist with loading freight onto refrigerated trailers or flatbed configurations when necessary Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and recent commercial driving experience Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates Ability to operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker trailers is a plus Knowledge of freight handling procedures for dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and other specialized equipment Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols in commercial trucking environments Ability to use forklift or other material handling equipment is advantageous but not mandatory Strong commitment to safety standards and customer service excellence
