Garbage and Recycling Truck Drivers

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will be responsible for operating garbage trucks and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and navigate various types of vehicles, including dump trucks and flatbeds. Responsibilities Active Waste Solutions is a small family owned business in Monroe, NC. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Fast growing Waste and Recycling Company looking for someone to grow with our company. We are looking for a Commercial Driver who preferably has experience in the Waste industry or with large heavy equipment. The routes are run overnight starting at 10 PM and we be required to work on some Friday night/Saturday mornings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regional geography, experience working with local businesses, and the ability to drive an a large front load garbage truck.

Responsibilities:

Work in a team environment with other team members. Be able to work an IPad to read maps, road signs, and company routes. Contact the dispatcher or dispatcher's office if there are any questions or problems. Drive a truck on public roads. Have a clean driving record and avoid accidents and tickets. Be able to drive under load restrictions. Qualifications Proven experience as a waste hauling driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the workday. Experience operating front loader garbage trucks Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is required. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations while on the road.
