Fulfillment Associate/Back up driver

Job Summary:

The Fulfillment Associate/Back up driver is responsible for the efficient transportation of products and supplies between three locations, all within the Morganton/Valdese area. Vehicle provided. This is a back up driver position and will work in our fulfillment facility, while not driving.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Transport products and supplies to and from destinations. Arrive at destinations in timely manner. Properly and accurately complete required paperwork. Interact with coworkers and clients in a professional manner. Ensure vehicle is always fueled and ready for use. Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed. Keep mileage records and repair records up to date. Assist in all areas of American Food Service as needed, when not delivering between locations. Flexibility is required. We are a small team and are often called upon to temporarily support our mission by lending a hand in one of our facilities (kitchen, plant, and fulfillment center - all within close proximity). Performs other duties as requested and assigned.

Job Qualifications & Skills:

A valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely (CDL not required). Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery and pickup locations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with location managers. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50lbs) and objects throughout the day, and ability to load and unload them from the vehicle.
