Job Description

Roller — Independent Contractor (1099)
Position:
Roller (Bin Roll-Out & Return Contractor)
Classification:
Independent Contractor — 1099
Company:
Property Concierge, LLC d.b.a.
Tidal Cans Schedule:
Flexible — routes claimed around municipal collection days
Compensation:
Per route or hourly, agreed at the time you claim a route About the Role Tidal Cans is a residential concierge service that handles the one chore homeowners never want to think about: getting their trash and recycling bins to the curb and back. As a Roller, you claim routes through our service platform and keep customers' collection days running smoothly. It's straightforward, flexible work that fits around your own schedule — ideal for someone reliable who likes being out and about and wants to control their own hours. This is an independent contractor (1099) position. You run your own routes, use your own vehicle and phone, and get paid for the work you complete. What You'll Do Move residential trash and recycling bins from their designated storage areas to the curb on scheduled collection days. Return bins to their original storage locations after collection is complete. Follow each route according to Tidal Cans standards, the municipal pickup schedule, and any specific instructions a customer has on file. Use the Tidal Cans service platform to claim routes and complete route verification (including photo confirmation) so customers and the office know the job is done. Treat every customer's property with care and represent the Tidal Cans brand professionally. What You Bring Reliable transportation to reach and complete your routes. A working smartphone capable of running the Company's service platform and completing route verification. Punctuality and consistency — collection days don't wait, so routes need to be finished on schedule. A professional, respectful approach to customer property and to the people in the neighborhoods you serve. The ability to handle the physical side of the work: moving bins to and from the curb in varied weather and terrain. Compensation & Schedule Pay is per service route or hourly, at a rate agreed upon at the time you claim a route. Payments are issued weekly or bi-weekly after your completed routes are submitted and verified. No taxes are withheld. As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, and Tidal Cans will issue a 1099 form annually. Routes are flexible — you choose the routes you claim, which lets you scale your work up or down. Independent Contractor Status This role is structured as an independent contractor relationship, not employment. A few things worth knowing up front: You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, tools, and transportation. Benefits such as health insurance, unemployment insurance, and workers' compensation are not provided. You operate your own routes and represent Tidal Cans only while performing services. Good to Know Because Rollers work directly with customer information and within Tidal Cans' service areas, the contractor agreement includes a few standard protections:
Confidentiality:
Customer names, addresses, service preferences, and company procedures are kept confidential, during and after your time as a Roller.
Non-compete / non-solicitation:
For the duration of the agreement and 12 months after, Rollers agree not to run a competing bin roll-out service within 100 miles of any Tidal Cans service area, or to solicit Tidal Cans customers or referral partners.
Conduct:
Consistent complaints, missed services, or policy violations may result in termination.
Term:
Either party may end the agreement with 7 days' written notice, or immediately for cause. Company property must be returned upon termination. Full terms are set out in the Tidal Cans Independent Contractor Terms and Conditions Agreement, which you'll review and accept during onboarding. How to Get Started Ready to roll? Rollers join by completing the Tidal Cans onboarding process and registering through the service platform. Once you're set up, you can start claiming routes in your area.
Pay:
$15.00 - $28.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
