In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off, and forklift-equipped trucks—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation with a focus on precision, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift-equipped vehicles for freight delivery and collection. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring secure handling of freight including refrigerated goods, heavy loads on flatbeds, or hazardous materials in tankers. Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with forklift operations when necessary for loading or unloading freight at warehouses or distribution centers. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on truck driving operations involving tractor-trailers. Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks is preferred. Experience handling various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts. Ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate equipment; experience with forklift operation is a plus. Knowledge of route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency. Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance (FMCSA regulations). Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
