Job Description:
Driver Recruiter PURPOSE This position will find, screen, qualify and hire CDL A Tank Truck drivers to meet the needs of the company. They will manage the full recruiting cycle from screening candidates, conducting interviews, completing preliminary review of qualifications, acquiring reports and records for Safety compliance, extending job offers and scheduling orientation. Will represent Tidewater Transit at Driving schools, job fairs, CDL Training programs and other driver facing events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Screen applicants for CDl class, endorsements, commercial driving experience and company requirements. 2. Contact qualified applicants by phone, email or texts to arrange interviews. 3. Conduct telephone or video interviews to assess driver fit, answer questions and advance qualified candidates. 4. Request MVRs, background checks and other required documents for use by the safety compliance officer . 5. Extend job offers to candidates once approved by safety compliance. 6. Explain driver pay package, home time schedule, equipment types and benefits clearly and accurately to candidates. 7. Manage the candidate pipeline from initial application through hiring decision and orientation scheduling, maintaining consistent communication throughout. 8. Track recruiting metrics including applications, phone screens, interviews, offers, hires and 90 day retention by source. 9. Provide feedback to operations and driver management on recurring driver objections or competitive pay issues 10. Maintain recruiting records and applicant tracking system datanin compliance with DOT recordkeeping requirements.
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Two years of CDL Driver recruiting experience. 2. A high School diploma or GED is required, an associates or bachelors degree in Human Resources, business or communications is preferred, but not required. 3. Experience with Tenstreet is highly desired. 4. Prior Human Resource generalist experience is preferred, but not required. 5. Transportation or logistics experience is preferred, experience as a CDL driver or dispatcher is highly desired. .
Pay:
$1,250.00 - $1,445.00 per week
