Commercial Driver's License Driver Dreamville Ventures, LLC Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and vehicle handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles across designated routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling skills or equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations. Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and delivery times. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when handling specialized freight like refrigerated goods or tanker loads. Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver logs, and shipment documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements appropriate for operating various truck types including manual transmission vehicles. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight delivery, route driving, or specialized vehicles such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Familiarity with load & unload procedures and safety protocols for different cargo types. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight. Knowledge of federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial driving. Strong physical stamina with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks like lifting heavy cargo or securing loads.
