This position primarily serves Thomasville and the surrounding areas, averaging 55+ hours per week. While this is a local driving route and most evenings are spent at home, candidates must be flexible with scheduling. Occasional overnight travel may be required, and drivers must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support emergency response operations when needed.

Role:
You will assist with loading/unloading, securing gates on the dump trailer, tarping loads, and ensuring no debris or contaminated material escapes during transit.
Operating End Dump Trailers:
You will be responsible for backing into tight customer sites, staging, and safely operating the hydraulic lift mechanisms to dump materials.
Unstable Terrain:
Landfills are notorious for shifting ground, deep mud, and hidden debris. You will need strong backing and maneuvering skills to position a 53-foot articulated trailer onto unpaved, soft trash cells or liner areas without getting stuck or damaging the tires.
Tire Hazards:
Puncture hazards (nails, metal shards, sharp rocks) are incredibly common. Frequent tire and undercarriage inspections are mandatory. Why work for Clean Harbors? RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times Operates tractor trailer tanker units Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports
QUALIFICATIONS
Class A CDL Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience Minimum 3 months of tanker experience HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements Ability to climb and work from heights Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software For additional information about driver career opportunities, please call us at 72-Drive (833-723-7483).
