Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class A Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. As a Class A Driver, you will be the backbone of our delivery operations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of freight across various routes. Your expertise in truck driving and freight handling will drive our success, providing exceptional service to our clients while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all safety and traffic laws. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring secure handling throughout the journey. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, maintaining schedules and communicating effectively with dispatch for updates or issues. Safely deliver freight to multiple destinations, including commercial sites and distribution centers, while providing excellent customer service. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and freight handling procedures. Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklift or other equipment when required. Excellent route planning skills with a focus on safety and timeliness. Physical ability to handle heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
