Heavy Haul Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating large, specialized trucks designed for transporting oversized and heavy loads across various routes. Your expertise in handling complex freight, including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailers, and other specialized equipment, will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers and heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions, ensuring safe handling of all freight types such as freight, load & unload operations, and specialized cargo. Drive route-specific trucks including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer, dump truck, roll-off truck, and other heavy equipment to various destinations. Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other necessary equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Secure loads properly on flatbeds or other trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure. Follow designated routes and schedules diligently while complying with all traffic laws and company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or route changes. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, commercial driving licenses (CDL), and route driving. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods while maintaining safety standards. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including securing loads on flatbeds or specialized trailers. Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driver roles involving freight transportation across diverse routes. Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy haul operations and vehicle maintenance checks. Pay:

$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
