Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently using various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. Duties Operate and drive various types of trucks including tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight while adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption. Navigate routes efficiently while complying with traffic laws and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Handle manual transmission vehicles as required for specific loads or routes. Assist in the maintenance of the truck by performing routine checks and reporting any mechanical issues. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record. Experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with operating tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and freight handling. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with refrigerated trailers or tanker operations is a plus.
