Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Rolloff Driver to operate roll-off trucks for transporting containers, debris, scrap materials, and other loads between our yard, customer locations, and disposal sites. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety regulations, and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. The ideal candidate has previous experience operating roll-off trucks and is comfortable working in an outdoor, physically active environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving & Equipment Operation Safely operate a roll-off truck to pick up, transport, and drop off various containers. Maneuver trucks in tight spaces, uneven terrain, customer job sites, and yard locations. Inspect containers before loading and ensure proper weight distribution and secure positioning. Hook, load, tarp, and secure containers following all DOT and company safety requirements. Complete daily vehicle inspections and document any maintenance needs. Customer Service Communicate clearly with customers regarding container placement and service requirements. Represent the company professionally at all times while on customer sites. Follow work orders, schedules, and dispatch instructions accurately and efficiently. Safety & Compliance Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, delivery records, and scale tickets. Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately. Wear proper PPE and follow site-specific safety rules at each job location. Yard & Operational Support Assist with moving containers within the yard when needed. Help maintain a clean, organized work area. Communicate proactively with dispatch and management regarding delays, issues, or schedule changes.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A or Class B CDL Clean driving record with no major violations. Prior roll-off truck experience strongly preferred. Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks. Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to safety. Ability to follow instructions, read work orders, and operate basic mobile/dispatch technology.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to climb in/out of trucks multiple times per day. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to operate tarping systems, hooks, chains, and safety equipment.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Full-time position Typically Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays if needed Work is outdoors, at customer sites, and in yard settings Overtime opportunities may be available
