Job:

Operate an automated refuse collection vehicle in the Environmental Services Division, completing an assigned route in a recommend time period; Collect, handle and process recyclable materials, including single stream collection; Operate light and heavy tractors performing varied maintenance tasks involving use of attached equipment; Perform routine maintenance on all equipment which may be assigned including conducting a daily check list and referring to directions in the operators manual; Responsible for reporting any equipment concerns immediately to the division supervisor &/or the maintenance mechanic; Maintain daily logs and reports; Pick up specials when requested; Maintain record of loads entering the transfer station; Assist in handling citizen complaints in a positive and timely manner; Operate a heavy duty loader; Train others in the operation of equipment; Perform maintenance on city owned buildings; Assist with related duties in cooperation with any division or department as assigned, which may include assisting with snow removal; Regular attendance and punctuality required.
