Landfill CDL Driver Show Map Location 2 Manhattan Drive, Burlington Township, NJ, 08016, United States Base Pay $25.00 / Hour Job Category Landfill Employee Type Regular Full Time Contact information Name Elizabeth Barker Phone (609)267-6677Ext. 135 Email ebarker@otcbc.org Description Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: roll off, tractor trailer, triaxle dump truck and other equipment using proper safety standards. Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean wheels or tracks on equipment, as needed. Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to Management. Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Ensure that equipment is clean, serviced and stored at the completion of each shift. Perform other job-related duties as assigned Drive onsite vehicles as needed Assist landfill operations and perform laborer duties at the landfill as needed The role will consist of about 40% driving (mostly on site) and 60% assisting landfill operations Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request. Perform all directed tasks with minimal supervision Assist with training new personnel. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm; Alternating Saturdays from 7:00am-1:00pm Benefits Medical Dental, Vision benefits Retirement Account Employee Assistance Program PTO Tuition Reimbursement Supportive, Mission-Driven work Environment Department Specific Benefits May Requirements Possess a class A or B commercial driver license with air brake endorsement. No DWI or DUI convictions. No MVR points on the driving record within 3 years of hire date. Ability to follow written instructions; read and use maps properly and enter information correctly on OTC driver paperwork forms. Physically and mentally capable of operating a commercial vehicle safely as well as handling the physical demands of sustained sitting, walking and driving in a noisy/outdoor environment. Have no medical conditions or physical limitations that would prevent the lifting of 50 pounds or getting in and out of a collection vehicle on a regular and frequent basis in a safe and efficient manner.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee must cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation. Employee must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to not be disqualified by the Department of Human Services (DHS) prior to working with individuals served. Employee shall agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Employees hired after 6/15/18 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment. Employee shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause. Employee shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry (CARI). OTC Services is an EEO and Drugfree Workplace.
