Need only 1 driver currently. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across regional routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, adhering to safety protocols. Drive a variety of trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks to transport diverse cargo. Route drive efficiently while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness for each journey. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license; familiarity with manual transmissions is essential. Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks like dump trucks or roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of route driving strategies to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to DOT regulations. Prior delivery driver experience preferred; capable of managing freight handling and customer interactions professionally. Competency in operating various equipment such as forklift and understanding of different trailer types for diverse cargo loads.
