Class A port driver wanted

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class A port driver to join our dynamic logistics team. As a port driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight to and from the port facilities, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of cargo types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more. Your expertise in commercial driving and route management will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers across designated routes, including port facilities and distribution centers Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary Transport various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery updates, delays, or issues during transit Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, delivery receipts, and vehicle logs Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving operations Strong knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and operation of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Skilled in load & unload procedures and operating equipment such as forklifts when required Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Ability to navigate route driving efficiently while managing time effectively Experience with freight handling across various cargo types and securement techniques Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as needed Join us if you're ready to take your trucking career to the next level!
