Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Drive assigned routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Secure loads properly for transport, especially when handling specialized freight like refrigerated goods or hazardous materials. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks and various vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery and route driving. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using equipment like forklifts or other tools when required. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers.
