Job Description

Summary:
Organizes and updates the yard on a daily basis. Ensures that all materials needed for the yard and facility come in as ordered and expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance at facility, including small repairs, lawn maintenance and dock maintenance Safe operation of company vehicles, forklifts and equipment, including trailer handling Work with the dispatch team to ensure that trailer transfers from building to building occur without fail. Accurately perform yard audits at end of shift Container and chassis inspections and cleaning Verify container pool Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment (trailers, containers) Ensuring yard layout is maintained per company expectations Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and problem solve Excellent verbal communication skills Must be a team player with the ability to multitask Ability to request and complete trailer moves in the Yard Management System (YMS)
