Job Description

Overview:
The primary responsibility of a MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is to utilize power industrial vehicles (forklift, reach truck, order picker, or powered pallet-jack) within the warehouse to unload, load, placing pallets or units to designated locations. Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required. It is a condition of your employment to work holidays that are within your regular work schedule. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas. Ability to pass a written and practical examination for the use of powered industrial equipment. Execute product refinement in line with established operating protocols and ensure adherence to expected standards of quality and quantity. Ability to locate all physical locations. Operate equipment that is required to complete the task. Inspecting products or pallets before and after location movements. Reports any problems with materials, equipment, or transportation to supervisor. Perform other duties assigned. Use handheld scanning device to scan barcodes on products and locations. Clean, maintain, and inspect powered industrial equipment prior and during scheduled work hours. Ability to conduct any other non-specialized tasks as needed. Wear required PPE (safety vests, harnesses, etc.) Maintain safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful. Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership. Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly. Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments Sorts and stores items according to specifications. Must be able to move and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Ability to stand and use hands for eight plus hours per day. Must have good communication skills.

The associate will be responsible for carrying out their tasks in a warehouse setting that may experience varying temperatures. They will be required to navigate within the warehouse to operate machinery and utilize other equipment. The associates must be able to endure long periods of standing and may occasionally need to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
