This role involves safely delivering freight using flatbed trucks, including refrigerated trailers, tanker, and other specialized vehicles, across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a solid understanding of commercial trucking regulations, and hands-on experience with various types of freight handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient logistics operations while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. Duties Safely operate flatbed trucks equipped with Moffit/TMF forklifts for loading and unloading freight. Drive tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, following assigned routes. Load and unload freight manually or with forklift assistance, ensuring proper securing of loads for transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards. Handle freight securely on flatbeds, including securing loads with straps or chains as required. Assist with documentation such as delivery manifests, bills of lading, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times or issues encountered during transit. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal operation. Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver with a focus on flatbed trucking; prior experience with Moffit/TMF forklifts is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), preferably Class A with endorsements for flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailers. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of freight handling equipment such as forklifts, roll-off trucks, and dump trucks. Familiarity with load securing techniques for flatbed loads. Strong understanding of route planning and driving logistics within regulatory compliance. Ability to load & unload freight manually or using forklift equipment accurately. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and professionalism. Physical ability to lift heavy loads when necessary and perform routine vehicle inspections.
