Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient load handling, timely deliveries, and adherence to safety standards. Duties Operate dump trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including roll-off trucks or flatbed trailers when necessary. Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to meet project deadlines. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels to maintain optimal vehicle performance. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Assist with the loading and securing of freight using forklifts or other lifting equipment when needed. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate delivery schedules and report any issues promptly. Experience Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers or tanker trucks in a commercial setting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Familiarity with different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, load securing, and route planning. Previous delivery driver experience involving load & unload operations and route driving is highly desirable. Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards applicable to commercial trucking.
