Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Towing Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks and related equipment to assist stranded motorists, recover vehicles, and ensure smooth traffic flow. Your mechanical expertise, customer service skills, and proactive attitude will drive success in delivering prompt, professional service to our diverse clientele. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are at the forefront. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and hook-and-chain models, to recover and transport vehicles of various sizes. Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and determine appropriate recovery or repair methods. Load and unload vehicles securely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches while adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and managing expectations professionally. Manage conflict situations effectively by maintaining composure and resolving issues with tact and diplomacy. Perform routine mechanical inspections and basic automotive repairs or diagnostics to troubleshoot issues on-site or in the workshop. Maintain accurate records of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and service activities for reporting purposes. Experience Proven mechanic experience with strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems including manual transmissions and automotive repair techniques. Hands-on experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment such as load & unload systems. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license suitable for operating tow trucks; experience with heavy vehicle operation is preferred. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques to identify mechanical issues quickly. Ability to manage conflicts professionally while providing excellent customer service in high-pressure situations.
