This position is ideal for an experienced driver looking for flexible, as-needed work. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting materials, completing deliveries on time, and ensuring proper vehicle operation and maintenance checks. Responsibilities Safely operate a 28-foot diesel box truck for scheduled deliveries and pickups Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues promptly Assist with basic loading and warehouse support when needed Qualifications Valid CDL license (Class B preferred; Class A accepted) Clean driving record and current DOT medical card Previous commercial driving experience required Experience operating diesel trucks and delivery vehicles Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with loading/unloading Strong reliability, punctuality, and customer service skills Ability to work flexible hours on short notice Preferred Skills Forklift experience or certification Knowledge of local and regional routes Experience with delivery documentation and inspections Warehouse or building materials delivery experience is a plus
