Class A Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of trucks and trailers. Duties Operate various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road. Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicles. Assist in freight handling as needed, ensuring that all cargo is secured properly during transit. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving. Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment is preferred. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
