Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving, heavy equipment operation, and commercial driving. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to their designated locations.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate trucks to transport goods over short and long distances
- Load and unload cargo following safety procedures
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Route driving
- Heavy equipment operation
- Forklift operation
- Experience with dump trucks
- Freight handling expertise
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair
- Commercial driving experience
