Our mission is to ensure that individuals with medical needs have access to reliable and comfortable transportation services for their medical appointments, treatments, and visits to healthcare facilities.
  • To comply with our company auto insurance requirements, you must be at least 25 years of age or older and have no accidents or claims within the last 5 years.
As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver for Accredo Care , you will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being of our clients by providing safe and timely transportation services. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our newly established non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) company in Las Cruces.   • Safely and responsibly operate company vehicles to transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatments, and healthcare facilities, on time.
  • Transfer clients by stair chair or wheelchair in a safe, timely, on schedule, lawful manner according to company procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure the comfort and well-being of passengers during transportation, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their medical needs.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to guarantee the safety of passengers and the public.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles, reporting any issues promptly to management.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, scheduling, and other team members to coordinate daily transportation activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as trip logs and vehicle inspection reports, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform a pre/ post-trip vehicle inspection ensuring that the vehicle is functioning, and all the equipment needed to perform the scheduled transfers is present and working properly. Ensures equipment (stair chair or wheelchair) and clients are properly secured before putting the equipment in-motion, on-boarding into or off-loading from the vehicle, or putting the vehicle in motion.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to uphold the highest standards of service quality.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA, Federal Regulations and company policy.
  • Keep vehicle and equipment clean, organized, stocked and sanitized before each trip, using proper PPE when sanitizing or cleaning spills. Fuel Vehicle as needed.
  • Report any incidents, equipment issues, traffic problems, accidents or other hazards to a manager and dispatch. If medical assistance is needed, request police or 911 assistance in an emergency.
  • Assists injured clients with first aid if required, and complete company accident/injury reports. Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • HIPPA Training and Certification
  • Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity (PASS) Certification
  • DOT Medical Examination (Medical Card/Certificate)
  • Defensive Driving Course Training and Certification Physical Requirements
  • Good eyesight, hearing, manual coordination and dexterity
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, push or pull 150+ pounds or more
  • This position requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and pushing a wheelchair
  • Exposure to a variety of weather conditions, e.g. Ice, snow, cold, heat while preforming duties
  • Ability to calmly handle schedule changes and unexpected situations Qualifications
  • Must pass pre-employment screening which includes, but is not limited to, Criminal Background Check, Physical Examination, Drug and Alcohol Screening, and other requirements
  • Must have a clean Driving Record with no major violations
  • Valid Driver's License held for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be at least 25 years of age
