In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 2019 Kenworth Sleeper Cab with different trailer setups (dry van, flatbed, step-deck, reefer) to deliver goods in a timely and accurate manner. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to showcase your driving expertise and contribute to our commitment to reliable freight transportation. •Reefer experience huge plus•Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers across regional and long-haul routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transport diverse freight types, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, step deck, and dry van trailers, ensuring secure handling throughout transit. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment when necessary, following proper procedures. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while avoiding delays. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on over-the-road routes; delivery driver experience is highly valued. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment when applicable. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Strong route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and timeliness. Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and cargo handling tasks.
