In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and delivery vehicles to transport freight, equipment, and goods efficiently across designated routes. Your enthusiasm for driving and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure punctual deliveries. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before departure. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports throughout your shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Assist with the setup or breakdown of specialized equipment when required for unique freight types like refrigerated goods or tanker loads. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers preferred. Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Prior experience in freight delivery or route driving is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual techniques. Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
