Garbage Truck Helper, Collect Trash, Part Time, Safety Conscious

We are looking for a safety conscious Helper. Must be available early morning hours and occasionally on short notice. Start time will be between 5:00am and 6:30am. This is a part time, on call as needed position. The candidate must be safety conscious and is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and recycling.

Helper will:

Ride on garbage truck and help driver with collection of garbage and recycling. Will load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for disposal. Communicate with driver during operating maneuvers to maintain safety standards Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm Professionally interact with customers if a situation arises.
