Elite Fleet Travel Yard Driver CDL A Required | Spotter / Switcher / Hostler | True Travel Position US 1 Shorthaul is hiring experienced CDL A drivers for our Elite Fleet Travel Team . This is a skilled yard position supporting customer sites across the U.S. with trailer spotting, switching, hostling, and precision backing. This is not OTR freight. This is a true travel yard role . Drivers may stay in hotels near an assigned site for several weeks to a few months at a time and must be comfortable traveling 80-100% of the time . What You'll Do Spot, switch, and hostle 48'-53' trailers Perform drop & hook moves only — no freight handling Work at different customer sites based on need Complete inspections and yard audits Represent US 1 Shorthaul professionally on assignment Requirements Valid CDL Class A 18 months verifiable experience Strong backing skills with 48'-53' trailers Clean Clearinghouse and acceptable PSP No preventable DOT accidents in the past 3 years Must pass background check and drug screening Must be able to travel for extended hotel-based assignments Benefits Weekly pay, overtime after 40 hours, PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, employer-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and travel accommodations arranged.
