Job Description

Legacy Hauling is a growing trucking company based in Machias, New York, serving the Western New York region. Founded and operated by two sisters, we are focused on building a reliable, well-run operation with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and doing things the right way. We specialize in aggregate hauling and are looking for experienced drivers who take pride in their work and want steady, dependable employment. We value experienced drivers and the knowledge they bring, and we're building a team built on professionalism, communication, and mutual respect. Position Description This role involves operating a tractor trailer and/or tandem dump trailer for deliveries of aggregate materials within a 75-mile radius. You will be responsible for safe, efficient hauling and representing the company professionally on job sites and on the road. As a Combination CDL Driver, you may also be asked to provide input on dispatching and delivery opportunities and assist with training new drivers when needed. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate tractor trailers and/or tandem dump trucks
  • Haul aggregate materials to and from job sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all DOT and state regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
  • Communicate with dispatch and management regarding deliveries
  • Assist in training and supporting new drivers when needed Minimum Requirements
  • Valid CDL (Class A preferred; Class B considered)
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain a valid medical card
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • 3-5 years of experience operating tractor trailers
  • Ability to safely operate manual transmission
  • Strong understanding of DOT rules and safe driving practices
  • Willingness to work full-time with seasonal flexibility
  • Ability to work well with others and follow direction Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience hauling aggregate materials such as sand, gravel, or stone
  • Experience operating rock trailers
  • Tanker endorsement is a plus What We Offer
