Experienced Tow Truck Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Tow Truck Operator to join our our team. The ideal candidate must have prior towing experience, a clean driver's license, and a strong sense of responsibility. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle situations calmly and respectfully.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring all operations adhere to safety standards. Your mechanical expertise and strong driving skills will be essential in handling a variety of towing assignments, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently during night shifts. Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach or necessary repairs. Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or specialized towing tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally. Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring positive resolutions while maintaining safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal operation. Document all towing activities accurately, including vehicle details, incident reports, and operational logs. Qualifications Proven experience operating tow trucks, with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive repair tools, flatbed operations, and load & unload procedures. Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally. Experience working with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, forklift operation, or mechanic roles is a plus. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently during night shifts.
