Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $25.35 / hour. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately. Overview This role does not require a CDL license to be hired and will be going through training to obtain CDL B. The Distribution Driver Helper is responsible for assisting delivery drivers with assigned route delivery functions.
Primary Responsibilities Deliver products as invoiced to specified licensed retailers Check-in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly, courteous manner Collect and return all payments as required Account for all invoices of merchandise delivered and merchandise returned Collect empty boxes to be used for redelivery, as needed Ensure delivery logs are completed as required Ensure check-in procedures are followed daily Attend monthly safety meetings Take only safety courses and other classes as needed Report all moving violations to management Drive equipment in a professional and safe manner, as needed within licensing requirements Perform other related duties as assigned Additional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications 1 years of experience Must obtain Class A or B Commercial Driver's License Experience in a warehousing environment Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills Physical Demands Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required EEO Statement Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
