In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in different types of trucks and driving conditions will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver freight across designated routes. Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of loads such as freight, cargo on flatbeds, or refrigerated goods. Drive confidently using manual transmission vehicles and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports throughout each shift. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to driving different truck types, including tanker handling or specialized equipment like dump trucks or tractor-trailers. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, especially as a delivery driver or truck driver within a logistics or transportation environment. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Experience in load & unload operations using forklifts or manual methods. Knowledge of route driving best practices and adherence to safety standards on the road. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the truck type being operated.
