The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to routes, and efficient handling of cargo. Candidates with a background in commercial driving, including truck driving with different trailer types, are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transportation. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Experience with various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred. Familiarity with load & unload procedures and handling freight securely. Skilled in operating forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance. Excellent navigation skills for route planning and adherence. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements based on trailer type (e.g., tanker endorsement).

$22.55 - $27.16 per hour
