The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and delivery vehicles to transport freight, equipment, and goods efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent route management skills. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Responsibilities Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Safely drive on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports. Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes. Follow all safety protocols related to driving, cargo handling, and vehicle maintenance. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving routes. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Experience driving various truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Familiarity with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route planning. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when needed. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record preferred. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients. Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
