CDL Class A or B Vac Truck Operator Location:
Akron, OH Pay:
$30
OT Schedule:
Monday
- Friday 7:00 AM
- 5:00 PM Travel to multiple job sites throughout the area Overtime and weekends may be required as needed
Position Overview & Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain vacuum trucks (automatics) and related equipment safely and efficiently Remove, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials including liquids, sludge, and solids Perform industrial cleaning services including hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, and line flushing Load and unload waste materials using vacuum hoses and pumping systems Transport materials to approved disposal and treatment facilities
Qualifications/Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A or B License required Automatic transmission experience preferred Air Brake endorsement required Tanker endorsement required Minimum 1 year of CDL Class A driving experience required Previous vacuum truck or heavy equipment operation experience preferred Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to safety and detail Mechanical aptitude Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable with effective time management skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing Ability to work in confined spaces and industrial environments Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
