Compensation:

$750 flat weekly rate, gas card provided, 1099 independent contractor status, with a clear path toward a vehicle ownership opportunity for the right operator.

What you will be doing:

You will run expedited freight assignments, local, regional, and long-haul, out of the Cleveland metro area. You will respond to on-call dispatches including nights, weekends, and holidays, because this is expediting, not a 9-to-5. You will load, secure, and unload freight using straps, bungees, and a provided dolly with no shortcuts on cargo securement. You will maintain proactive, professional communication with dispatch and customers throughout every run and operate the vehicle in full compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations at all times.

What we require:

You must be based in the Cleveland, Ohio metro area and available to dispatch from that location. Minimum 3 years of verifiable expedited freight experience in a cargo van, sprinter, or box truck. Valid driver's license with a clean MVR and no serious violations. Your own smartphone capable of running GPS and communication apps. The ability to read and complete Bills of Lading and delivery documentation accurately. Basic working knowledge of your vehicle including tire pressure, fluids, and pre-trip inspections. Professional appearance and strong customer-facing communication skills. Do not apply if any of the following apply to you: You are not currently located in or immediately surrounding the Cleveland, Ohio area. You have never run expedited freight and are looking to break in. You have a criminal record or a problematic driving history. You are not available for nights, weekends, or holidays. You treat your phone as optional during a run. You have ever abandoned a load or left a customer without their freight.
