Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team in the Cambridge OH area as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that drives your career forward! In this position, you will operate a variety of trucks—including tractor-trailers, pneumatic, flatbeds, tankers, water bottles—to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in manual transmission driving and experience with different trailer types will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across assigned routes to deliver freight promptly and accurately Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods Drive various types of trailers, including pneumatic, flatbeds, tankers, , adapting to different freight requirements Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Plan efficient routes for route driving assignments to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with regulatory standards Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any incidents encountered during trips Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with proficiency in tractor-trailer handling Familiarity with driving various trailer types including pneumatic, flatbeds, tankers, Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary Strong knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries Excellent understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols for commercial drivers Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections; comfortable working in diverse weather conditions Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
