In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Your expertise in adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials handling will be essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Some general labor is involved Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and efficient delivery routes Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with Hazmat regulations and safety protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Load, secure, and unload freight accurately while following truck loading and unloading procedures Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or related roles with a focus on route driving and freight transportation Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat and tanker operations preferred Knowledge of manual transmission trucks and experience with manual handling techniques Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools for efficient deliveries Ability to adhere strictly to DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling processes Join our team as a driver to enjoy a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact!
