Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of aggregates, soil, debris, and other materials. Your expertise will contribute directly to the smooth progression of construction projects, supporting various operations such as excavation, grading, paving, and site development. This position offers an exciting opportunity for seasoned drivers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects. Duties Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently across diverse construction sites, adhering strictly to safety protocols and traffic regulations. Load and unload materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris with precision and care. Conduct routine inspections of the dump truck's mechanical systems, including brakes, hydraulics, tires, and lights, ensuring optimal performance. Coordinate with site supervisors and equipment operators to plan routes and schedules for material delivery and removal. Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment like excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, or horizontal drilling machinery as needed. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, fuel usage, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes. Support site safety initiatives by identifying hazards and ensuring all safety standards are followed during operations. Experience Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or heavy civil environment. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, tankers, or horizontal drilling units. Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards applicable to construction sites. Hands-on experience with other heavy equipment operation like backhoes or paving machinery is a plus. Familiarity with construction site procedures and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Knowledge of maintenance routines for heavy equipment to support operational efficiency. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
