Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flatbed Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will operate flatbed tow trucks to safely transport vehicles, ensuring efficient service for our customers. Duties Safely operate flatbed tow trucks to load, secure, and transport vehicles of all types and sizes. Perform routine inspections of the tow truck to ensure optimal safety and mechanical condition. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, adhering to safety protocols. Diagnose basic automotive issues and communicate repair needs when necessary, leveraging your automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge. Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients professionally during roadside assistance or vehicle recovery situations. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of each job, vehicle condition, and any incidents encountered. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times. Skills Proven experience with flatbed towing operations and tow truck handling. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic automotive diagnostics and repairs. Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive repair procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is essential. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive systems, including automotive diagnostics and repair techniques.
