Lowboy Driver

This position is responsible for operating a truck and trailer for transportation of construction equipment. The driver will load construction equipment and materials which may include but are not limited to skid steers, rollers, dozers, excavators, asphalt pavers, and milling machines onto trailer and transport to various sites. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks.

Position requirements:

• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
• Obey applicable laws and follow supervisor's instructions.
• Load and unload various types of heavy equipment.
• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.
• Good with directions and able to work in all weather conditions.

Minimum qualifications:

• Experienced driver for tractor/trailer. Class A CDL with experience required.
• Good driving history/record.
• Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement a plus but not required.
• MUST have previous experience with heavy haul oversized equipment.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Be willing to work holidays and weekends when necessary.
• Be able to work overtime when required: Average 50-60 hours per week.
• Great attention to detail.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
