Job Description
About us Tri-State Pallet is a small business in Springfield, OH looking for a 8 to 12 week special project driver. Job would consist of making 2 round trip runs from Springfield Ohio area to Michigan and delivering miscellaneous freight loads, then back hauling loads of lumber to Springfield. We would allow you to garage the loads at your residence if it works in the shipping schedule. There would be two nights a week that would be spent in hotels. If the project is a success, we could possibly extend it and turn it into a full-time job.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain company tractor/trailer units in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including pre-trip inspections, weight limits, and Hours of Service requirements.
- Transport palletized freight and ensure timely and accurate delivery to clients.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of delivery transactions and log hours of service.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL license with at least 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to start early on Mondays and work upto 60 hours a week driving as well as a couple nights out of town.
Pay:
$1,400.00- $1,700.
